A Constant Week

Good Morning Company Girls! Well, today was supposed to be my day off......but, Megan didn't go to school today so......no day off...:0(

It was what I'd call a constant week....always something going on........baseball game for Maya (plus a tournament today), ultimate Frisbee tournament for Ben, Verity and Paul's birthdays, trying to find a Dora pony for Verity...no such luck...do you think Dora is on the way out?...not much Dora stuff around.....but was successful in getting Megan's grad dress.....now just have to get the shoes, only problem is that she'll need flats,...even the lowest 'high heel' was too much for her to handle....I thought she was going to sprain an ankle! On Wednesday night, the only evening that hubby has off from teaching,...we went to one of my favourite places...the Lilac Dell....a small valley, which is part of our botanical gardens, that is filled with every kind of lilac bush you could imagine. It was a beautiful warm evening and we just sat on the bench and enjoyed the wonderful smells and the wondrous quiet. Unfortunately, we tried a new restaurant, recommended by one of hubby's co-workers before hand and as the evening progressed I felt more and more ill (we were back home by then).....so yesterday, I just had a quiet day...recovering.

Tonight, at our church we are having a missionary fund raiser...we're showing the 'Fireproof' movie....I haven't seen it yet but I've heard that it's very good.....and then we're selling yummy desserts to raise the money.......

Hopefully, tomorrow we can just have a 'puttering around the house day'....hubby says the lawn just has to be cut....next door retired neighbor has already cut his twice this week!
Then on Sunday, a family birthday party for Verity.....Paul wont be home so we'll have to wait til he's able to come home to have his cake......
Ya, a constant week....they just seem to be speeding by don't they? Or is it just because I'm old!

Hope you liked the movie. I definitely did. The lilac valley sounds amazing. I would love to go. Wonder if that would be Ryan's cup of tea...perhaps if I brought him one as we sit...

Hope to see you soon. Wish we could be there for the birthdays :(

Have a good weekend.

The weeks are definitely speeding by. I can't believe it's the end of May already...almost half a year has passed already.

We'll be mowing our lawn this weekend too...or well, Norm will be. I have a neighbor who is obsessed with his lawn. He's out there for a whole day mowing it and edging it and staring at it...

Anyhow, I hope you have a relaxing weekend. That's what they're for...well, that's what they used to be for...*sigh*

I've heard wonderful things about the Fireproof movie, but have not seen it. Sounds like you have a full weekend. Hope it is nice.

and i thought i was busy!!!! i really enjoyed fireproof, too. to answer your question for sunday school we have one main teacher and a helper or two depending on the size of the class. Then during our 2nd worship hour we have children's church for K-2nd grade. the program we use has a new theme every 8 weeks so we rotate on an 8 week basic, we hope to get more teams but right now we only have 2, i enjoy it.
