New Teeth and Plagues!

Hello Company Girls!
Just had to post a pic of my youngest grandaughter ....she has teeth! Really changes their features doesn't it?
I've been in recovery mode this week after the VBS last week.....yes, I know some said they thought VBS was only in the summer....well, that's true...but...up here, where it can be quite frigid in March or mild....you never know...it's nice to have something for the kids to do on March break. Not everybody can afford to go someplace warm... All the kids that we have at home now...except the 22 year old that's getting her own place in another month....are teenagers so we've been thinking that this might be a good time to do this...by next March Break the oldest will be 19...and you know as they get older they do have their own plans.....
The monkey wrench in it all of course is the finances...especially when things are always cropping up like a water leak that we have to figure out if we have to take a wall apart to get at....and carpenter ants....I'm really thinking that we've been lining up for the plagues here....last December it was fruit flies that took over and now we have carpenter ants....we've called an exterminator, who will come on Saturday...to the tune of $300!!! Good grief! One of the blogs that I read said that these days her and her husband have paycheck left over at the end of each month that they can save....I wish I knew her secret!

Finances are always a struggle for us as well. Keep the faith!

I understand about the finances! We went away for our anniversary, and when we got back every thing that required money we hadn't intended to spend...the dog got sick, the daycare bill kept forgetting to send the bill...but finally remembered and was more than we thought, and the doctor said we owed for some shots that weren't covered under insurance! Oh and lunch money for school. It always pops ups out of the blue..

what a cutie!! I haven't figured out the entire leftover money at the end of the payperiod, either. Working on it, though.

Your granddaughter is so adorable! I love her smile! Over here in England we have holiday clubs (which is what we call your VBS) any time of the year - my church does one week in the summer, and 1 day at Christmas and Easter, some churches do them in half terms (which are the one week school holidays in October, February and May). I think it's good to maintain contact between the church and the kids throughout the year.

Sorry to hear about the ants - hope the exterminator can get rid of them good and proper.

Best wishes,
Jo

It's always interesting to me to see just HOW God provides. Sometimes it is in very interesting ways! It's good to know that you rest in the assurance that He will provide!
By the way-What a cutie! Have a great weekend

We usually have more month left at the end of the paycheck.

I commiserate with your plagues....we've had plumbing issues, squirrels in the attic and something like carpenter ants as well. I think these are called pharoah ants. Anyhoo, an exterminator is in our future, too, sadly.

The baby is DARLING!! Love the toofers!

She is a little cutie, isn't she?

It seems I often have month left over at the end of the money, but God always makes sure there's enough gas in the car to make it to work and back, and food in the pantry to last until payday. May He continue to bless you and augment your finances in wonderful ways!

Oh what a sweet baby!
Maybe we would all have leftover funds at the end of the month if we forgot those things like food. MOney, what a pain!
Have a great weekend!

I totally missed the toothless days after Melody started teething. They do look different.

I think it's great to have VBS during the break...even winter break. I wonder what kids whose parents don't have any way to have someone watch them do with their kids. We always had our grandparents around and my parents had their own business, so during the break there was always someone around, but if they had to work, they'd have to find help to watch the 4 of us.

Anyhow, too bad about the ants. I hate ants. We had ants here after we moved in last year, and it was a problem at our old place too. Hope everything works out.

Your granddaughter is absolutely PRECIOUS! Our $$ has been tight, too, lately, as hubby's check got a 10% pay cut back the first of March. You are not alone. I pray it gets easier.

Oh! I'm so sorry to hear about the carpenter ants! We had to deal with those at our last place. It's tough when things come up outside of the budget that you have to spend money on. (In February it happened to be our furnace.) God is faithful though, and He continues to provide again and again!

That's one cute grandbaby you have there! :)

Have a good weekend.

Your granddaughter is adorable. And I'm so sorry about the finance issues...I hope the exterminator gets rid of all the bugs for you!
