Ta Da! The Quilt Room!
This is a small room, 8 x 10....the view standing in the doorway...I think I'll just put a little valance at the window....
This is my mom's old Singer sewing machine and cabinet....made in 1940! Cool huh?
Book shelf with all my quilting magazines and books.
Obviously, my sewing machine....the chair was in my dad's workshop...
Little ornament that I got down in Pennsylvania last Christmas when we went down for Sight 'N Sound theatre....cute huh?
Little ornament on the window sill...that I had to paint white cause the previous daughters had destroyed the window sill and hubby had to sand it...matching the stain to the rest of the window would have been next to impossible since it was done over 60 years ago!
Pressing area! The little table was also in my dad's shop....

Curtains covering the closet...the gold chair was my nana's...someday I'll get it recovered....but it's a nice spot to sit and contemplate life....
Curtains opened, displaying the fabric stash....
Another view.....
Another view.....
Cutting table.....the table was in an old office that hubby worked in over twenty years ago....when the weather gets warm I plan on taking it outside and painting it...maybe a nice white....
You can see the striping on the wall in this shot...turned out great and a little tip that Rachel gave me created nice clean edges....
Another view....love those walls...
And...there it is...something that I've dreamed about for years.....I've actually started a new quilt this week...and I can just leave everything laid out...don't have to pack anything up at the end of the day....fabulous...and the only expense was the paint for the walls...everything else I had in the house...now everything is in one room....before,...there was quilting stuff downstairs, in the dining room, the living room and my bedroom...I love having everything together!

It's beautiful! How great to be able to leave a project and not worry about moving it! Can't wait to see the quilts that come from this room!
Wonderful! It's beautiful and cozy. I'm sure you will design and sew many beautiful things!
Oh, that is a gorgeous room and so neat and orderly too! Looks like it is a great place to create in! Someday I will have to share my creating spot in my home. It's not a whole room and it's not nearly as nice, but it's comfortable and it works for me. I'm a knitter myself - give me a chair and a place to store my supplies and yarn stash and I'm good to go! I have always wanted to be able to sew and quilt but have yet to learn. I can darn like crazy though!
I love your quilting room! It looks so neat and tidy, just watch that leaving everything out or you will have a mess on you hands before you know it! I know this from experience, sigh.
It looks lovely. I am so glad you get your own space! Happy birthday to Ben...no longer a" teenager". =p
YOur room looks phenomenal! You and your hubby did a great fob! Now I can't wait to see a picture of a finished quilt!
Congratulations on your room! I know you will have many happy moments making special quilts in it.
beautiful room! what a joyful spot in your home. I especially like the chair.
Beautiful! I'm quite jealous, one day I promise myself I will have my own scrapbooking room!
Your room is beautiful!! The stripes turned out great! It's nice to be able to be surrounded by things that have memories attached especially when they are useful too. Happy sewing hope to see pictures of a quilt soon!
I can't wait till I can have my own craft room. Now I have a corner, but at least it lets me be able to keep what I work on out at all times. Helps with getting stuff done during naptime.
Love those stripes, my friend!! Great job. Everything in there looks terrific - so pulled together and inspiring. I hope you get to spend many happy hours in there, working on your quilts and enjoying your craft.
Happy Birthday to Ben!!
I absolutely love it Mom. Good for you. Can't wait to see it in person
Seriously? A sewing room can really look like that? Where are the stacks of plastic bins? Very nice.
